PHSC approves Shah as new CJ

Kathmandu, September 30. The Parliamentary Hearing Special Committee on Tuesday endorsed Ram Kumar Prasad Shah for the post of new Chief Justice.

The committee on Monday conducted preliminary hearing on the two complaints filed against Shah. The Constitutional Council on September 11 recommended senior Justice Shah to head the judiciary.

Following the recommendation, the hearing committee issued a 10-day notice seeking complaints, if any, against the nominee.
