Political proposal presented at CPN standing committee meeting

Kathmandu, Dec 15 : CPN Chairperson duo KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ jointly presented a political proposal at the standing committee meeting of the party.

At a meeting held at party central office in Dhumbarahi today, Chairperson Dahal presented the proposal on behalf of party chairperson duo.

The report prepared on eight sub-chapters had dwelt on historical party unity, organizational integration, nine months of government operation, national political scenario, role of political party, endorsement of central secretariat decisions, management of internal life of the party and future course, shared CPN Spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha.

“The report highlighted updates on organizational integration of the party and its future course of actions. It also reflected the government’s performance durin nine months period and future move of the government’, Shrestha shared.

The report also explained about the national politics and the role of political party.

Spokesperson Shrestha said that the decision made by the earlier meeting of the central secretariat has been proposed for endorsement.

In the meeting Prime Minister and CPN Chairperson Oli had presented his views on country’s political situation and rationale of the standing committee meeting. Likewise, another chair Prachanda had shed light on the political report.

Both the Chairmen stating that the party had historic opportunity in front of them and the Nepali people had incredibly trusted their party underscored the collective efforts to fulfil the historic responsibilities by further emotionally unifying the two parties, according to General-Secretary Bishnu Poudel.

Similarly, the meeting has also expressed its deep sorrow over the huge loss of lives at the mini-truck accident at Dupeshower Rural Muncipality-1 in Nuwakot on Friday night where at least 20 people died and 15 others were injured.

The meeting also extended its condolences to the bereaved families of the victims.

The CPN leadership was severely criticized as the Standing Committee meeting was not held for a long time following the unification between CPN-UML and CPN-Maoist Centre.

Supplementary report by leader Gautam

Secretariat member Bamdev Gautam separately submitted a report as a supplementary one to the political report presented by his party’s Chairmen.

The next meeting of the CPN Standing Committee would be held on Monday at 11 am at the party’s Central office, Dhumbarahi, which will deliberate on the reports presented by the two Chairmen and leader Gautam, according to party Spokesperson Shrestha.RSS
