RPP for automatic suspension of MP post if accused of criminal offence

KATHMANDU, May 17: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has decided to support the legal provision which stipulates for the automatic suspension of the Member of Parliament (MP) post in case an MP is accused of criminal offence.

A meeting of central work execution committee of the party decided this, said party spokesman Bhuwan Pathak.

The meeting passed with revision the political paper the party chairman Kamal Thapa is to present in the meeting of the party’s central council scheduled to be held in Birgunj May 21-23.

It also endorsed the organization strengthening action plan, the training action plan, the proposal on amendment of the party statute and the report on evaluation of the election results to be presented in the council meeting by party general secretary Rajendra Lingden, spokesman Pathak, central member Govinda Khaniya and central member Dr Bishnu Bhandari, respectively.
