BIRATNAGAR: Proprietor of the Biratnagar-13 based Krishna Enterprises, Shrawan Kumar Agrawal was released on Thursday on a bail of 16 million rupees.

Businessman Agrawal was arrested by the Inland Revenue Office, Biratnagar on September 7 on the charge of evading tax for the past three years. Agrawal’s firm was involved in the business and trade of betel nut.
He was taken into custody after failing to deposit the bail amount.

Businessman Agrawal was released on bail yesterday after we received a bank guarantee of the same amount from Mega Bank, said Chief Tax Officer of Inland Revenue Office, Biratnagar, Dirgha Raj Mainali.
