KATHMANDU, Nov 29: Ballot boxes used during the first phase of the House of Representatives and Province Assemblies elections held on Sunday (November 26) in 32 districts have already been collected safely in the respective district headquarters, the Election Commission said.

According to the latest updates by the Joint Election Operation Centre at the EC, ballot boxes from all 2,917 polling stations fixed for the twin elections, have been collected in the respective district headquarters.

As stated by EC Spokesperson Nawaraj Dhakal, ballot boxes of Shey-Phoksundo and Tharka Tangsong polling stations in Dolpa were airlifted to the district headquarters today. However, the vote counting will commence only after the completion of the second phase of elections scheduled for December 7. RSS

KATHMANDU, Nov 28: Ballot boxes of 71 polling stations of six districts used for the elections to the House of Representatives and State Assemblies held on November 26 are yet to be brought to the district headquarters.

Spokesperson of the Election Commission, Nabaraj Dhakal, said that all ballot boxes of 26 districts have so far been collected at the respective district headquarters.

As per the latest information of the Joint Election Operation Center, ballot boxes of nine polling stations of Sankhuwasabha, six of Bhojpur, 20 of Dolpa, 10 of Mugu, 25 of Jajarkot and one of Darchula districts are to be collected.

KATHMANDU, Nov 27: The ballot boxes from the polling stations in 32 districts where the first phase of elections to the House of Representatives and Province Assemblies were held on Sunday have been brought to the district headquarters.

The Election Commission (EC) said that the ballot boxes of 2410 polling stations out of total 2917 stations have been collected in the headquarters of districts concerned.

EC Spokesperson Nabraj Dhakal said that preparations are on to bring the ballot boxes to the district headquarters by helicopters from 40 other polling stations.

Similarly, ballot boxes from remaining 467 stations are being carried to the district headquarters from land routes.

He said that the ballot boxes of 15 districts have been carried to the district headquarters till 4:00 afternoon Monday.

According to the EC, all the ballot boxes would be carried to the district headquarters till Tuesday evening. RSS
