RUPENDAHI, Jan 5: Basanta Poudel ‘Ballu’ has been shot dead in Devdaha municipality in Rupendahi district on Friday.

Two unidentified motorcycle borne persons came on bike and opened fired at the 40-year-old furniture business man at around 11 am today morning, according to the police. Poudel, who sustained injuries in chest and head, was rushed to Lumbini Zonal Hospital in Butwal where he was pronounced dead.

The suspects are yet to be identified. The police has launched manhunt in the district.
