KATHMANDU: Vice-chairman of CPN-Maoist CP Gajurel has said that his party would hold talks with Chief of Army Staffs Gaurav Shumsher JBR to stop the country going towards conflict if the major four political parties decided to go for election forcefully.

At a program organized by Reporters Club here today, he claimed, “Plans are made to mobilize army for CA poll.”

“We will talk to Army Chief whether or not to push the country to conflict,” he added.

He also said that election is a political program and it cannot be conducted by opening fire.

Club’s Chairman Rishi Dhamala presided over the program.

Gajurel further said that it depends of four parties and government whether to invite another conflict in the country.

“We will boycott election by mobilizing people if elections were held forcefully. We will appeal officials not to support in election process and leaders not to give their candidacies,” Gajurel added.

The CPN-Maoist Vice-chairman also said that party’s central committee meeting to be held in Lumle of Kaski would unveil programs to actively boycott the election.

SINDHULI: Vice Chairman of CPN Maoist C P Gajurel has accused ruling Maoists of handing over state reigns to India. Terming UCPN Maoist Chairman Pupsa Kama Dahal and Vice Chairman and Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai as anti-nationalist, Gajurel said that his party has blacklisted them along with NC President Sushil Koirala and Jhalnath Khanal.

Stating that Dahal and Bhattarai topped their blacklist, Gajurel said that Koirala and Khanal followed the duo in the blacklist for betraying their nation.

Lashing at the parties for appointing a bureaucrat as the Prime Minister , he satirised that political leaders should give up politics and should opt for sainthood.

He claimed that forming electoral government in the Chielf Justice’s leadership was a conspiracy to hand over the nation in the hands of India.

Gajurel further claimed that the steps will follow by a government in the leadership of Chief of Army Staff that he claimed will ultimately weaken the army and ease the process to hand over nation to Indian subjugation.

The CPN-Maoist Vice-chairman CP Gajurel and Spokesperson Pampha Bhusal visited President Dr. Yadav at his residence in Shital Niwas, today, and submitted the names of the 91 lawmakers of the dissolved Constituent Assembly in the party.

Emerging from the meeting, CPN-Maoist Vice-chairman Gajurel said, “We submitted 91 lawmakers’ name list of the party to President Yadav. Our party reminded the President that we were the third largest party after Ashok Rai and other lawmakers disassociated from CPN (UML).”

In response, President Dr. Yadav said there have been difficulties as the CPN-Maoist was not formally registered in the Election Commission, reported Gajurel.
The Maoist leaders informed the President that the party had already informed about their formal split from the Unified CPN (Maoist) and formation of a new party.

The CPN-Maoist leaders are learnt to have appealed to the President during the two-hour long meeting for a round-table conference or an all-party meeting. RSS
