KATHMANDU: Chairman of Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (MJF) Nepal Upendra Yadav has ruled out the possibility of CA elections under the current circumstances.

Speaking at an interaction organized by the Reporters Club in the capital on Wednesday, Yadav said CA elections are not guaranteed if the same situation continues though the leaders renew their parties.

He also said that the MJF-Nepal would be renewed at the Election Commission.

Club’s Chairman Rishi Dhamala presided over the program.

The bigwigs of four major political parties are lying to people saying CA elections will be held in November. “Constitution will not be drafted though the CA polls are conducted and that will lead to further crisis in the country. Elections to be held amid conflict will not give an outlet to the crises,” he said.

Likewise, secretary of CPN-Maoist Dev Gurung said they would not register the party at the EC saying that the party was in the protest against the 25-point deal signed by major four political parties.

“The CPN-Maoist would move ahead with its clear guideline if polls are conducted by sidelining us,” Gurung added.

Gurung suggested that the reasons of the erstwhile CA’s failure should be sought prior to holding the fresh round of polls.

BAGLUNG: Nepal’s hardliner CPN-Maoist Secretary Dev Gurung compared the fresh CA polls to be conduced by the Chief Justice-led government that of local bodies’ elections held by dethroned king Gyanendra Shah during the insurgency period.

He also reiterated that the CPN-Maoist would not participate in the upcoming CA elections until this government was toppled and their demands were met.

Gurung also demanded the 11-point agreement signed by the four-party be scraped immediately as the 11-point deal was signed with the pressure from the foreign powers.

KATHMANDU: Even though Nepal’s major political parties have succeeded in forming a electoral government in the chairmanship of Chief Justice Khilaraj Regmi, the hardliner Maoists have stood adamant on toppling it.

The CPN Maoist has said that it would never support the Regmi led electoral government stating that such a government will ultimately push nation towards party less political system.

Secretary of the party, Dev Prasad Gurung, claimed that the decision to form government in the leadership of Chief Justice was a great price to hold Constitutional Assembly election.

Expressing suspicion that the Regmi led electoral government will fulfill its objective to hold CA elections, Gurung said that the action has brought the neutrality of the judiciary also into controversy.
Gurung claimed that the step has jeopardized both multiparty democracy and independent judiciary. Stating that only the CPN Maoist is capable of toppling the Regmi-government, Gurung said that his party will launch nation wide protest to preserve the gains of great Janandolan and People’s war.

SANKHUWASABHA: CPN-Maoist secretary Dev Gurung today claimed that the four major political parties were attempting to revive the monarchy by forming the Chief Justice-led government in the name of holding fresh CA elections.

The CPN-Maoist secretary said the four major political parties do not have the key to rule the nation.

“Rather extraneous forces were ruling the country, ” he said, alleging the four parties of working to undermine the achievements made by the people through the decade-long People’s War and the People’s Movement—2 by making the Chief Justice the prime minister.

He opined that a way out of the present political deadlock could be found through federalism based on ethnic identity, regionalism, economic classes by safeguarding nationality.
