KATHMANDU, Oct 15: The CPN-Revolutionary Maoist General Secretary Mohan Baidya has said that his party would support the progressive republic parties in the upcoming the House of Representatives and State Assemblies elections.
Speaking at a press conference organized in the capital on Sunday to make public the decision taken at the 1st national conference of the CPN, which ran from October 8 to 12, Baidya criticized the recent electoral leftist alliance, and the announcement to unify after the polls as a rightist coalition, while informing that dialogue was being held to unify the CPN with Rastriya Janamorcha.

The conference amended the party statute, and formed 95-member central committee, said party leader Hari Bhakta Kandel.
