BHAKTAPUR, July 16: A person was killed and another injured when a bus with number plate Ba 4 Kha 1991 en route to Kathmandu from Bhaktapur collided with a bike Ba 85 Pa 9928 heading towards bhaktapur at Ghhataghar intersection along  the Araniko highway on Saturday night.

The 17 – year – old bike rider, Ashim Shrestha, of Bangalamukhi of Lalitpur died in course of treatment following the accident while pillion rider, Iku Joshi, was seriously injured. She is undergoing treatment at the B & B Hospital, Gwarko.

The bus driver Ram Kumar Mahat is under custody at the Metropolitan Police Circle Thimi, said Sub Inspector Bikal Bhattarai of Metropolitan Traffic Police Division (MTPD).
