KATHMANDU: The price of yellow precious metal has increased by Rs 1,100 per tola in the local market today, according to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association. The price of gold is fluctuating in the recent days though the price has substantially decreased compared to previous months.

The gold is being traded at Rs 50,400 per tola today. The hallmark gold price was traded at Rs 49,300 yesterday.

However, share analysts and economists have said that the bullion price should go further down due to strong US Dollar and job confidence in the US market coupled with price lower bullion price in the international market.

KATHMANDU: Police from the Central Investigation Bureau seized 35 kilograms of gold and a smuggler from capital this morning.

Organizing a press conference, the Nepal Police made the smugger public. According to DIG Prakash Aryal, the arrested is driver of a van (Ba 3 Kha 2570) Tszering Tamang of Sindhupalchowk district.  Aryal said that gold was smuggled from Lhasa by keeping in the container.

The market price of the seized gold is equivalent to Rs 170 million, police said.

KATHMANDU: the price of gold came down to Rs 48,600 per tola today. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of hallmark gold decreased by Rs 750 per tola today as compared to Friday.

It was traded at Rs. 49,350 per tola on Friday.

Similarly, price of worked gold reached Rs. 48,350 per tola today while it was Rs. 49,100 on Friday.NEGOSIDA has fixed the price of silver at Rs. 800 per tola today. It was Rs. 815 on Friday.

KATHMANDU: The gold price has decreased heavily on Sunday in the local market. According to Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (Negosida), price of per tola gold was decreased by Rs. 2,500 than the earlier day. The hallmark gold was traded at Rs 50,500 in the market.

The bullion traders have opened the shops from today by ending 11-day protests after an agreement with government.
