SURKHET, Aug 29: The Karnali Academy of Health Sciences in Jumla has been free of load shedding since Tuesday.

The Academy suffering from load shedding frequently has got regular power supply after the operation of Naumule micro hydropower. It is to provide 15 KW electricity to the Academy.

Gothichaur rural municipality Chairman Hari Bahadur Bhandari and Academy Registrar Bishworaj Kafle signed an agreement to this regard on Tuesday.

Chairman Bhandari informed that the Karnali Academy of Health Sciences was provided electricity in view of the disruption of health services to the people despite having infrastructures and medical instruments at the Academy.

Similarly, Registrar Kafle shared the happiness that regular supply of electricity would make the health service smooth. “Because of load shedding, the medical service as surgery was disrupted. Now, we add more equipment and bring in more electricity as per the agreement,” he shared.

With the agreement in place, it would be easy for the Academy to conduct surgery, ICU, CT scan, blood transfusion centre and oxygen plant.

The Academy is planning to expand its services within mid August. RSS
