KATHMANDU, Nov 22: Left alliance candidate from the Kathmandu constituency-4, Dr Rajan Bhattarai has said the communist parties had given up the idea of one-party authoritarian rule some 25 years ago.

Speaking at a face-to-face interaction program organized by the Reporters’ Club Nepal at Sukedhara on Wednesday, Bhattarai further noted that they have opted for bringing overall change in the country by winning the hearts of people rather not through wars.

“We had also suffered much to bring democracy in the country. We have forged the communist alliance to introduce socialism not communism in the country. We have no goal to reinstate communist rule”, he added.

He also claimed that CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli will be the Prime Minster from the left alliance after election.

KATHMANDU, Nov 16: CPN-UML leader and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal, who is contesting the polls from Kathmandu-2 to the House of Representatives, has said that the left alliance candidates should be made victorious to eradicate poverty and end instability in the country.

Speaking at a cadres gathering at Kageshwari Manahara municipality-4 in the district on Thursday, leader Nepal added that the developmental activities were pushed back due to instability in the past therefore the main objective of alliance was to maintain stability and expedite the development projects.

On another note, Nepal urged all to not follow the rumor that the alliance was for imposing totalitarianism in the country. It was baseless charge made by Nepali Congress, he argued. RSS
