KATHMANDU, Aug 2: Ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) senior leader and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that the remaining tasks of the party unification will be completed by Mid August.

In a press meet organized in the capital on Friday, leader Nepal shared that they were working out to conclude the tasks as soon as possible as all leaders and cadres were serious in this matter.

KATHMANDU, July 23: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said the process of party unification has almost reached to the conclusion.

Addressing a program organized by the Pushpalal Memorial Foundation to commemorate the ’41st Pushpalal Memorial Day’ in the capital on Tuesday, Dahal claimed that the party unification process will be completed by August 17.

“Only one or two formalities are remaining. We will conclude the entire party unification process within some days. Our aim is to conclude the remaining works of the party unification as of August 17. We will also convene the meetings of the party’s standing committee and the central committee,” said Dahal.

He added that they will reach the people with the central committee of the party formulating a nationwide program.

The NCP Chair opined that they have completed the people’s revolution in a unique fashion by achieving the party unification which was the late Pushpalal’s dream.

Pushpalal Shrestha is the founding leader of the NCP. He recalled that the late leader Pushpalal had, through a party convention held in Gorakhpur of India in 2025 BS, had raised the issue of unification of the communist parties in Nepal.

Prachanda went on to say that they were the bearers of the late Pushpalal’s ideology and that the journey of socialism would also be completed as per the dreams of the NCP founding leader.

“It was Pushpalal who envisaged reunification of the divided parties and prepare for a movement, to take forward the strategy of people’s revolution through long term armed struggle and to use the then Panchayat system for fulfilling the party’s strategy. So, we all are Pushpalal’s children and heirs,” Chair Prachanda said.

He also underscored the need for strengthening the party on the basis of ideology and polity, organizational values and the process and procedures to fulfill the aspiration of socialism and prosperous Nepal and happy Nepali.

Dahal said the way forward for the party is to correct the shortcomings within the party and commit to the ideals of the late Pushpalal.

Likewise, NCP senior leader and Foundation chair Madhav Kumar Nepal said that the dream of Pushpalal would be materialized only if the NCP is established by making it popular.

He added that party’s center, states, district and local levels should carry out activities and move ahead as per the party’s direction and those doing good work in the party should also be honored.

Leader Nepal added that politburo should be formed soon and responsibility of would be departmental and people’s class organization would be given.

The former Prime Minister shared that Pushpalal museum and park would be established at Bhangeri of Ramechhap, the birthplace of Pushpalal.

Saying the country could get prosperity only if only heading to the path shown by Pushpalal, another senior leader Jhalanath Khanal said that the incumbent communist government should bring socialism in the country.

On the occasion, Chair Dahal, senior leaders– Nepal and Khanal, NCP Secretariat member Bamdev Gautam, General Secretary Bishnu Prasad Poudel, and other leaders garlanded the statue at Pushpalal Memorial Park, Champadevi, Kritipur. Born on Asar 15, 1981 BS at Bhangeri of Ramechhap, Pushpalal died on Saun 7, 2035 BS while undergoing treatment at Govinda Ballabh Pant Hospital, India.

Pushpalal with support of friends had established the Nepal Communist Party on Baishakh 10, 2006 BS. RSS

CHITWAN, March 26: The ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) senior leader and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal said that the government has opened the door for talks with dissatisfied parties.

At a press conference jointly organized by the Press Chautari Nepal and Press Centre Nepal, district chapter on Tuesday, leader Nepal said that the government was always open to hold talks with disgruntled parties including Biplav led Communist Party of Nepal.

He also stressed on creating the environment conducive for investment as the government was preparing to hold Investment Summit in the country.

On a different note, also the former Prime Minister, Nepal said that he was always in opposition on the issues of religious conversion and alcoholic drinks.

DAMAULI, Jan 27: Senior leader of Nepal Communist Party (NCP), Madhav Kumar Nepal, has said that the positive works of the government could not get wider publicity for the ruling party’s failure to conclude the unification process.

During a party cadres meet at Abukhaireni of Tanahu district, slow unification process has created problems. He pointed out the need to conclude the unification process at the earliest.

“The government has performed positive activities since its formation. But its publicity is low because the unification process has delayed the incorporation of the low level cadres of the party,” he added.

Justice should be ensured even at the local level with the party unification, he added, arguing that the party would however address cadres’ concern with organizational management.

The senior leader said government may have some weaknesses, which should be corrected.

On today itself, leader Nepal and party Spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha inspected a goat research centre of Bandipur in the district. RSS

BHAKTAPUR, Sept 13: Former Prime Minister and senior leader of the Nepal Communist Party, Madhav Kumar Nepal, has said that communist movement has become successful in the country.

At a training ‘History of the World Communist Movement and Present Situation’ being organized by Madan Bhandari Asian School, the school established as the first communist school of Nepal, at Kharipati, Bhaktapur, leader Nepal said the communist-led government should be successful.

He said, “The communist system has now given a chance to the NCP and the country. Nepal should take benefit from such opportunity. Communist movement has already been successful in Nepal. Communist-led government should also be successful.”

Saying the country has moved ahead towards prosperity and development due to communist-led government, the NCPleader stressed that the relation of the communist-led government and people should be very close.

He further said that special activities should be carried out in education, irrigation, roads, sanitation and health sectors.

Leader Nepal said there was necessary of social, economic and cultural revolution in the country as political revolution has been completed in the country as such responsibility has come upon the shoulder of NCP.

He also pointed out the need of making rule and process of the unification up to lower-level systematic to make unification between the two big communist parties long-lasting.

The 21-day training launched from August 25 would conclude on September 14. Prime Minister had inaugurated the training where 49 people from 14 countries including Nepal, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Thailand, Argentina and Brazil are participating.

The participants are being taught about Marxism, Leninism and Communism. Prime Minster Oli, former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Oli, Narayankaji Shrestha, Modnath Prashrit, Bamdev Gautam, Bishnu Poudel, Beduram Bhusal as well as communism experts of different countries including Parbirpur Kayastha of India and Shusantwa Das of Bangladesh imparted training. During a meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Ms Yu Hong, Monday, he termed the Chinese assistance to the favour of Nepal’s economic and prosperity as significant, adding that the construction of railway from Kerung to Kathmandu was their priority, according to UML Publicity Department secretary Bishnu Rijal.

The Chinese Ambassador visited leader Nepal’s Koteshwor-based private residence for a courtesy call on him.

KATHMANDU, March 6: CPN-UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that the responsibility to develop the country had fallen on the left force.

Commenting on reports that the left alliance would turn authoritarian, he said, “Leftists believe in peoples’ spirits. They won’t adopt dictatorship. There is no need to worry about it.” Nepal was addressing the meeting of the legislature-parliament at Baneshwor on Tuesday.

He was of the view that Nepal could pursue socio-economic transformation, and reach the highest point of prosperity within a couple of years by creating employment opportunities.

The government would ensure good governance and justice to the people and increase productivity, he believed.

“The KP Oli-led government will get a vote of confidence soon, and a base will be created for the country to get prosperity,” he said. RSS

CHITWAN, Feb 14: CPN-UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that unification with CPN (Maoist Center) is not possible only with adjustment of chairs KP Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

Talking briefly to media persons in Chitwan on Monday, leader Nepal said that the two parties should be united only after making adjustment of leaders as well as standing committee members and lower-level cadres of both parties.

He said that uniting the parties by removing all obstacles surfaced in this connection as soon as possible was the need of hour.

Also the former Prime Minister, Nepal said, “It is necessary to conclude the party unification process by holding discussion on various topics including the date of party unification and ideology that party should adopt.”

Stating that the government should be formed before party unification, he said time has now come for the formation of a new government.

On a different note, leader Nepal said that the new government would withdraw some decisions taken by the caretaker government. RSS

TIKAPUR, Feb 9: CPN-UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal said that the name of the new party after merger between CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center) will be the Nepal Communist Party.

Addressing a gathering of UML cadres at Tikapur this morning, he said, “The name of the party, established by Pushpa Lal Shrestha in 2006, was also Nepal Communist Party. There is no need to put tail after the party name”.

Leader Nepal said that the people are also eagerly waiting to see the formation of a single communist party.

Efforts are underway to merge the two parties, he said, adding that the discussion is going on about the organizational structure and philosophical base. RSS
