KATHMANDU, Aug 8: Minister for Land Reforms and Management Dr Gopal Dahit has argued that holding Federal and Provincial election together is unlikely as it is past constitutional provision and impractical.

Speaking during an interaction program organized by the Reporters’ Club Nepal on Tuesday, Minister Dahit said, “Two elections at a time is not practical. The constitution of Nepal also doesn’t allow such practice. Thus, it is not probable.”

He however said that the government should first consult with the Election Commission before making official decision on holding two polls in a single go.
