BHAKTAPUR, Dec 31: Chairman of Nepal Workers and Peasant Party, Narayan Man Bijukchhe, has said there was growing threat of conflict in the world.

During a program organized by Nepal University Teachers’ Society regarding the socialist movement and the present time, Chairman Bijukchhe said the UN’s sanction of oil to North Korea has increased threat of further conflict.

At the program was organized on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Mao Tse Tung and Cuban Liberation Day, Chairman Bijukchhe argued that the conflict would escalate also because US President voted for making Jerusalem the capital city of Israel.

Moreover, he said India was hatching conspiracy to make the Indian Ocean its own. China has made a port in Pakistan. It has also constructed road in Afghanistan and Pakistan. It proves that India is being isolated from South Asia, he added.

Central secretary of the party Prem Suwal said as CPN-UML followed NC’s path, it can never be a revolutionary one.

Nepal Revolutionary Cultural Association’s Chairman Surendra Raj Gosain expressed hope that the China’s progress would also benefit other countries. RSS

BHAKTAPUR, Aug 6: The 27th meeting of the Nepal Workers and Peasants Party’s Central Council today has evaluated the first and second phase of local level polls, while also endorsing the Secretary Prem Suwal’s report.

The meeting held under the chair of party President Narayan Man Bijukchhe blamed the major political parties for misleading the people during the election, including by offering feasts and distributing cash to influence the popular vote.

Secretary Suwal shared that the meeting also endorsed a 13-point decision that includes continuing socialist movement and patriotic movement in the country.

He further shared that the meeting urged the government to withdraw the constitution amendment bill registered in the parliament, as it was against the national interest and sovereignty.

Similarly, the meeting has concluded that the provision of ‘threshold’ for election was against the spirit of republicanism and people’s mandate. The meeting has also named the party’s Province coordinators to take decision regarding local poll (in province-2) and federal and provincial elections in all seven provinces.

The coordinators are Narendra Homagai (Province-1), Dinesh Sah (Province-2), Prem Suwal (Province-3), Niraj Labaju (Province-4), Hari Sundar Basi (Province-5), Sunil Prajapati (Province-6) and Bajir Singh B K (Province-7). RSS

NAGARKOT, July 26: Nepal Worker and Peasants’ Party Chair Narayan Man Bijukchhe has said the constitution amendment proposal was not in the interest of the nation and it could not be passed in the current political status quo.

Speaking during a face-to-face program organized by Rafat Sanchar Club in Nagarkot on Wednesday, he claimed that it would not do a good for the country if the constitution was amended.

Accusing Nepal’s politicians of harping on the slogan of ‘Singha Durbar’s rights to the villages’ without making the mass conscious about it, he said such slogan had been a headache for the Singha Durbar itself and political parties as well.

He further said that forgetting own decorum was the reason behind increasing rift among the executive, judiciary and legislature. RSS
