KATHMANDU, May 17: Rastriya Prajatantra Party has also emerged victorious in Rubi Valley rural municipality in Dhading district. RPP’s candidate Cherung Tamang won the position of chair. He garnered 1486 votes to defeat his Ramsi Tamang, a rival from Maoist Center who only garnered 953 votes.

Likewise, Naya Shakti-Federal Socialist Forum’s candidate Buchung Tamang also got victory in Parbati Kunda rural municipality in Rasuwa district. Tamang garnered 964 votes while his opponent Lakpa Gombo Tamang of UML only managed 643 votes.
