President Dr Ram Baran Yadav today appointed in the post of government’s legal advisor. Earlier, Regmi was deputy attorney general. He was also recommended to the post of commissioner of CIAA–anti corruption body.

Responding to case filed by the district attorney on Thursday, the court granted the remanded to the police authorities for interrogating five of the accused.

The court announced its verdict on the case following a stay order from the Supreme Court against the Attorney General’s directive to the district attorney for not prosecuting the accused.
However, the Supreme Court’s stay order on the AG’s directive enabled the police administration to seek this third judicial custody extension to investigate the Dekendra’s murder committed way back in 2004 under direct orders from the then Maoist’s local parallel government.

The hearing was conducted amid a dense security in and around the Dailekh district court as locals and journalist turned on street demanding stern sentences for the murder accused.
Nepal police had arrested the accused following direct accusations filed against them by Dekendra’s wife.

The Police has been pressing chargs of murders against CPN Maoist Bheri Karnali state member Jay Bahadur Shahi, Harilal Pun Magar, District Committee senior secretary Nirak Ghartimagar, district committee member Bir Bahadur KC.
