KATHMANDU, Jan 29: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has opined for maintaining the bilateral relations with neighbors on the basis of necessity and new principles instead of past practice.

Speaking at a program organized to felicitate newly elected working committee of Nepal Chamber of Commerce at the party central office, Dhumrabarahi on Monday, Chair Oli said that there was an era of colonialism in the past but the today’s world is moving ahead respecting the sovereignty of independent states.

He further added that we Nepalese should feel proud on state’s independency and sovereignty.

Chair Oli noted that the modern era is of co-existence among all states (either big or small in size) as per the UN’s charter. It was not a time of dominating small states by big states, Oli said.

On another note, former Prime Minister Oli stressed on rapid economic development in the country by using natural resources as the country has adequate resources.

Chair Oli also said that the upcoming government will co-work with private sectors to create employment and even to end bad governance in the country. He reiterated to correct the latest populist decisions (not included in budget) taken by the care taker government.

Similarly, Chamber chair Rajesh Kaji Shrestha said that they were positively responding the situation created for forming a new government by left alliance expecting that it would be stable government.

KATHMANDU, May 25: Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) Chairperson Dr Rajesh Kaji Shrestha has urged ambassadors to create environment for investment in Nepal.

Dr Shrestha made a plea in a meeting organized by NCC with the ambassadors designated to different countries from Nepal on Wednesday.

Urging the ambassadors to play spectacular role in bringing impressive economic prosperity of the neighboring countries to Nepal, he said, “Nepal should take stride by following the technological developments taking place in neighboring countries”.

On the occasion, Nepali Ambassador to Sri Lanka Dr Biswombhar Pyakurel, Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr Chop Lal Bhusal and Ambassador to Myanmar Bhim Udas expressed commitment to create investment environment in the country.

They also pledged to take initiative to bring foreign tourists to Nepal and thereby contribute to the economic development of the country. RSS
