KATHMANDU: Nepal football team is playing against the Indian team at the Dasrath Stadium in the capital as part of the Group ‘A’ match of the ongoing Eighth SAFF Championship-2013.

Till now, Nepal have grabbed four points playing two games while, India have also bagged four points in their two games. Both teams are locking their horns to qualify for the semi-finals.

India is the five-time champions of the championship and a huge crowd has turned out at the Stadium. The line up for the game is as follows:

Nepal: Limbu,S.Thapa,S.Rai,R.Shrestha,B.Maharjan,R.Chand,B.N.Silwal,J.Shrestha,R.Tamang,B.Khawas,A.Gurung

India: Subrata, Nirmal, Gouramangi, Arnab, Mohanraj, Nabi, Mehtab, Arata, Jeje, Jewel, Sunil.

POKHARA: New Road Team (NRT) defeated visitors Bhutan by 2-1 to book a place in the semi-finals of the Safal Pokhara Cup International Football Tournament organized by the Kaski District Football Association.

In the quarter-final match held at Pokhara stadium today, Ajaya BK scored both the goals for NRT while Jigme Drukpa of Bhutan scored one for his team.

Macchindra Club will face Kolkatta club in the match to be held tomorrow. RSS

POKHARA: The Yeti Himalayan Club defeated Ranipokhari Corner Team (RCT) by 5-4 in a tiebreaker in today’s game under the Safal Pokhara Cup held at Pokhara Stadium organized by the Kaski District Football Association.

With the win, the Yeti Himalayan entered the quarterfinals. Himalayan’s goalie Binaya Shrestha was the hero in foiling RCT’s Naresh Khatri’s penalty shootout.

The Manang-Marsyangdi Club and Armed Police Force team are scheduled to play the first semifinals on Saturday. RSS
