KATHMANDU:  Actress Nisha Adhikari has scaled Mount Everest on Tuesday morning, becoming the first Nepali actress to climb the world’s highest peak.

Adhikari scaled Mt Everest at 8:00 this morning, according to the officials.

However, Adhikari was given the  status of an assistant to a Chinese expedition team.

Film industry and gossips are two things we cannot detach. Lately a new gossip is being circulated in Nepal’s small film industry. Its about actress Sumina Ghimire and producer of her recent flick Nine O’Clock- Ramesh Sambedna.

Those near the couple term their relationship as ‘unnecessarily close’, and though they don’t express any explicit suggestion on any thing brewing between them, a recent fact has made them smile a mischievous smile.

The fact is that Ramesh flew off to one of Asia’s hottest tourist destination- Malaysia with Sumina. Well one might say, what is in that he might have gone there to promote his movie with his lead actress.

Yes, there is a point in that. But wait there is another fact that will make you smile too. Ramesh had told his team members that he is going to India and NOT malaysia.

More to it was the way Sumina started behaving with Ramesh as soon as they were inside the Tribhuvan International Airport. A witness said on conditions of anonymity that she was walking with her whole arms in Ramesh. Well of course, the witness did not see anything in Malaysia, far away from the maddening crowd in Nepal.

And yet another fact to counter the supposed claims is that the team members of the movie said that they don’t have any promotional plans or events in Malaysia and ruled out the possibility that the couple is promoting movies in Malaysia.

Some additional facts about their relationships. When Sumina recently bought a 7.5 bungalow in Kathmandu, rumours were rife that Ramesh had opened his pocket for her lead actress.

Some additional facts about Sumina: In her earlier movie Rang, Sumina had a very close relationship with producer Roshan Hamal and had managed to remain as a hot topic for gossips.

KATHMANDU: Sweeping aside the recent rumours in Nepal’s film industry, Kollywood diva Rejina Upreti is returning home unmarried or to say without a hubby at her side as rumoured.

The entertainment industry was rife with rumours that the Rejina had dashed off to London to marry her lucky boyfriend and settle down there. According to media reports, the hot actress that once pursed some top kollywood flicks, will be heading home on Friday evening from London.

Though she denied that she had visited London to meet her beau (aka Suraj Pokhrel), she nonetheless hinted that she might get tie her nuptial knot next year.

Upon landing in Kathmandu on Saturday afternoon, Rejina has promised to respond to the recent hypes and speculations created around her in Kathmandu when she shot off to London, the report further said.

While in London, she participated in the promotion of her movie ‘Bardan’ across the UK and other over two dozen programs organised by various non-residential Nepalese.

Elaborating on her future plans, Upreti said that she will be putting all her efforts in promoting Bardan across the nation upon her return and also hinted of making promotional visits to other countries.

Where, its still unknown… but she seems to counting on the flick to gain some of that limelight that she has lost for some time now.

Everyone and everything in this world has heyday. Nepali hotty Jal Shah cannot be an exception to this. It was not long ago when this actress bared off some of her glowing skin to the conservative Nepali audience on the Kollywood silver screen. Making herself the hottest and tempting cake in the industry to not to look.

But as said earlier, her days seem to be numbered out. In her quest to seek stability in her life, Shah darted to the US and there she married and her matrimony blessed her with a daughter. After her

disappearance till now, thats her achievement.

So irked of sitting in the US, now Jal Shah is intending to return back to Nepal. Why ? Well of course no one would care to see her on their screen, except her old fans and admirers.

Its purely business and professionalism. She is returning home and not only for her love of her beloved nation but to claim back some faction of her lost stardom!.

In her six months stay, she has plans to act in a movie (thats her plan, its not yet certain which), she will be acting in music videos (that sounds reasonable) and of course will be opening herself for some luck photographer.

KATHMANDU: Dashain is one of the biggest and widely celebrated festivals. And while we commoners are celebrating it, our actors and actress have also gone home or on foreign tour to celebrate this festival. So lets take a peek into what they are doing.

Super hero Rajesh Hamal is on one-month America tour where he is scheduled to  attend a number of programs organised by Nepalese in America.

Actress Rejina Upreti has flown to Europe to join her boyfriend in London and will be involved in the publicity of her upcoming film.

Actress Binita Baral has already gone home town Chitwan to celebrate her Dashain. There she has plans to participate in musical and dance shows and will show off her talent to her own district residents.

There is however a twist. Baral said that she is religious and will also participate in some Bhajans and religious gatherings. And Langarbuja will be the main entertainer for her.

And actress Sumina Ghimire is heading home, Surkhet, where is looking forward to receive tika from her aged grandparents.
