Nepal’s got talent and this was evident in the recently concluded Nepal Fashion Week. Be it designers or models, they are all fantastic in introducing a whole new range of garments for women.

16 of Nepal’s best and hottest fashion models, along with 4 from India displayed designer wears from 78 outstanding designers from India and Nepal.

So here are highlights of the week that was conducted from March 27 to 30 amid a strictly only-invitee fashion event at the Hotel Soaltee Crown Plaza in Kathmandu.

The event was jointly organized by one of the most prestigious fashion school of Nepal- IEC School of Art & Fashion and one of Nepal’s leading English newspaper- The Himalayan Times.

Muskan Limbu was awarded the Miss Mongol 2013 crown just a day ago. What next? After writing the news, I asked Gopal Dai (Read Google) for her images, to add to these column for you viewers/readers.

I was amazed! Just 19 years and Muskan’s photos belonged to whole professional class of modeling and all the on Facebook. Yup. She really has a small audience base on her photos, most of which are on the ramp that miss out the real-life Muskan. And that may be the reason, her comments are always from her Mama. Thats a whole lot of family things in there. All cool.

KATHMANDU: The countdown for Miss Nepal 2013 has ended and the show has started at the Nepal Academy Hall in Kathmandu on Wednesday.

There are 18 finalists competing for the crown this year and here is portfolio of these hot and talented Nepali girls who will be our beauty queen for the rest of this year.

KATHMANDU: Nepali high profile fashion designer Prabal Gurung once again prevailed at the New York Fashion Week as his Fall-Winter Collection dazzled the crowd, which included among others his own mother-Durga.

The new range of outfits that Gurung introduced in the show potrayed women in sexy warrior theme inspired from the recent invention of body armour for women, the Ukranian female vigilantes and pentagons recent improvement of women dress code, the New York Times reported on Sunday.

“It’s really about embracing femininity whoever you are” Prabal was quoted by the newspaper. “As far as I’m concerned, the more women are empowered, the better off we are. You can tell I’m a mama’s boy,” he was quoted saying jokingly by report.

Gurung was reported to have been hugging his mother after the show and shedding tears of joy as his mother joined him, younger son, for the first time in her life. With leading personality, like Mitchell Obama, already a huge fan of Gurung, it is sure that this guy is going to introduce more in the days ahead.

KATHMANDU: Nepal’s Women’s national volleyball player Sipora Gurung is not only a volleyball player. Now, the fans of Pokhreli volleyball player could see her competing in the Miss Nepal 2013.

Gurung along with 15 other competitors were selected for the contest of the beauty pageant held in the capital city.

With other hot and talented girls in the row, it might be hard for Sipora to stand out in the tough competition as she has done in Volleyball.

Given the amount of talent and her achievements so far, it seems that for 2013 she is the chosen one (forgive if it looks like exaggeration).

Sipora was also declared the ‘Popular Player of the Year-2067 B.S’. The multi-talented player is currently preparing for Nepal Army’s Second Lieutenant post for free competition.

During the official launch of the 18th edition of the pageant, held in capital other contestants expressed their hopes to bag the crown on the final day slated for March 15.

The winner will of course represent Nepal in Miss World 2013 later this year. Now who will bag the competition seems a bit too early to think of, but then also here some pictures of Sipora and her various avtars.. enjoy them.
