BIJAY THAPA /Virginia: Nepalese woman recently had an amazing teen celebration amid a program organized by the Nepalese embassy here in Washington.

The program was organized as part of the embassy long kept tradition to invite Nepalese daughters and sisters in the DC area to the Teej reception and organize cultural programs that would make them feel at home.

Participants in the program said that they were glad that the embassy organized the event and made them feel at home with their parents and guardians. They said the event mirrored the care that the embassy provided to its citizenry in the United states.

Spouse of Nepalese ambassador to the USA, Mrs. Kalpana Sharma had coordinated the event sponsored by the embassy.

Sgt. Shrestha came to the US at the very young age of 17 for higher studies in 2006 and joined the US Army in 2009. Sgt. Shrestha is a power generation equipment repairer with Bachelors degree in Computer Information Science Networking and is assigned to US Army Special Forces Command, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

He has served three years in the US Army and has completed his assignment in Afghanistan. Sgt. Shrestha credits his wife Elisha for his success and he is the youngest child of Dr. Ramesh Kumar Shrestha of Naxal, Kathmandu.

Sgt. Shrestha along with his wife visited the Embassy of Nepal in Washington, D.C. on Thursday. Mr. Arjun Kant Mainali, Deputy Chief of Mission and other staffs welcomed him at the Embassy. RSS

Baltimore, USA/RN.Com: Need to travel to Nepal from USA to offer prayers at Palanchowk Bhagwati is over. A temple for the goddesses has been established here in Baltimore.

Dr Shyam Karki, who has been residing in the states for nearly four decades established a temple devoted to the goddess in his own house.
Dr Karki had procured idol of the Godesses and other gods from Nepal for establishing the temple. The temple was inaugurated on Fulpati this year and nepalese from distant parts of the states came their offer prayers to the goddesses.

In the grand hall of Karki’s house around one hundred and fifty devotees attended the opening ceremony of the temple.
