KATHMANDU, Oct 17: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has urged the Non-Resident Nepalis to invest in Nepal with confidence, as investment-friendly atmosphere was gradually becoming a reality in the country.

Speaking at the concluding session of the 8th world conference of the NRN association in the capital on Tuesday, Prime Minister Deuba said prevalent acts and regulations were reformed to ensure an investment-friendly climate and urged the NRNs to help realize prosperity of the country by making investments without any hesitation.

Stating that investments are welcome in Nepal’s hydropower, tourism, energy and other sectors, the Prime Minister said Nepal was able to be elected to the UN human rights council as a result of the role played by the NRNs.

He expressed the hope that the country would take the path towards prosperity following the upcoming elections to the House of Representatives and the provincial assemblies.

It may be noted that the NRN conference ended with the election of a new working committee led by Bhawan Bhatta. RSS
