KATHMANDU, Nov 3: Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli has reached Grande International Hospital to undergo dialysis.

The 67-years-old prime minister needs to visit the hospital for regular dialysis, according to his doctors who are closely observing his health condition.

This is the third time PM Oli has undergone dialysis after he received plasmapheresis treatment at the National University Hospital in Singapore in August.

Meanwhile, due to his health condition, the party secretariat meeting scheduled for today morning was postponed till afternoon.

It has been learned that the doctors are preparing to set up a well-facilitated medical room at his official residence in Baluwatar.

Oli, who had undergone a kidney transplant surgery at the Apollo Hospital in New Delhi in 2007, has been on regular medical checkup in the recent days.

KATHMANDU, Oct 31: Prime Minister K.P.Sharma Oli was admitted to the Grande International Hospital in Dhapasi on Wednesday morning.

He was immediately taken to the intensive care unit (ICU). A patient suffering from severe renal failure he had a transplant 12 years ago, and since then he has constantly battled with ailments.

The hospital authorities have now said that his condition is stable.

His press adviser Dr. Kundan Aryal said that the condition is normalizing and his health is currently improving while there are people at the hospital constantly monitoring his condition. The PM was afflicted with fever on Wednesday morning and was immediately taken to the hospital.

The people close to Oli including his well-wishers along with the entire Nation is concerned about is health and hope for his discharge from the hospital.

Former Minister Dr. Minendra Rijal from the main opposition Nepali Congress Party (NC) has said that “although we are political opponents, PM Oli’s leadership and service is required and crucial for our Nation”.

Prior to this the PM had gone for several days on two separate occasions to be treated at the National University Hospital in Singapore.

Although the hospital has released a statement regarding the stability and improvement in his health, social media is outspread with well-wishers of the PM who feel that they are not being provided with the actual information, and that factual information regarding the health of the PM is obscured.

KATHMANDU, Sept 2: Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli’s health condition is normal and is preparing to return to Nepal on Friday, according to Nepal Communist Party leader Subash Nembang.

A kidney patient, PM Oli is undergoing plasmapheresis treatment at the National University Hospital in Singapore.

Oli informed Nembang about his health in a telephone conversation on Sunday evening, according to a report.

Oli also asked him to disseminate the message of his normal health condition.

“The prime minister had telephoned me yesterday evening. When I inquired him about his health, he said he was totally fine. He also said he was returning to Nepal on September 6,” wrote Onlinekhabar quoting Nembang.

KATHMANDU, Aug 26: Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli has convened a cabinet meeting through video conference on Monday.

The prime minister addressed the cabinet ministers through teleconference for an hour, according to cabinet sources.

PM Oli is currently in Singapore for medical treatment. A kidney patient, Oli underwent plasmapheresis at the National University Hospital on Friday.

According to Oli’s chief political advisor Bishnu Rimal, Oli’s health is normal and he should go under plasmapheresis treatment a couple of times to increase the function of his kidney and decrease creatinine level.

This is the first time a cabinet meeting was held through a video conference using advanced information technology.

The cabinet, before the PM left for Singapore, made necessary amendments to the Cabinet Meeting Regulation Operation paving way for the prime minister to hold the cabinet meeting through video conference.

“PM Oli’s plasmapheresis treatment and exchange of blood plasma started at the National University Hospital in Singapore on Friday. He has to undergo the same treatment a couple of times. His health is normal,” tweeted PM’s chief political advisor Bishu Rimal.

The the-67-years-old prime minister returned to Singapore for further treatment on Thursday due to the high number of antibodies’ presence in his blood, 10 days after getting his medical test done.

A team of experts including some Nepali doctors is taking several measures to increase the function of the kidney and decrease creatinine level.

PM Oli had undergone a kidney transplant surgery at the Apollo Hospital in New Delhi in 2007 and is on kidney enhancement drug therapy since.

KATHMANDU, Aug 22: Personal doctor to the Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has made it evident that the PM has left for Singapore for further treatment due to the increase in antibodies, which is a sign of renal difficulty. He also said that PM Oli left for Singapore on his personal recommendation to the condition of his health.

Speaking in an exclusive press conference organized at the Reporters Club in Kathmandu Dr. Sharma stated it was indeed appalling and unrealistic. “The PM has gone to Singapore to continue the treatment in order to remove the antibodies present in his body. According to him, the PM Oli will be staying for 3-6 days along with Dr. Divya Singh who is also his private physician. Also on the occasion when asked by the clubs President Rishi Dhamala, Dr. Sharma said ” There will be specialized tests conducted in the National University Hospital in Singapore. The tests are being conducted to test renal capacity since the creatinine levels were at a mark of five, which is considered to be extremely high. He will be there because the Hospital is technologically well equipped and able to handle such delicate cases”.

During the program, Dr. Sharma also read a press statement issued regarding the health condition of the Prime Minister. The statement read ” Honorable Prime Minister was given a health test and treatment at the National University Hospital, Singapore, earlier this month. During that period, preliminary tests have shown that the kidney volume of some of the antibodies has relatively increased. Treatment for the removal of the antibodies has been initiated in the prior treatments and the Prime Minister will be there to continue the same course, and further necessary tests will be conducted. He will be accompanied by his personal physician and will be in charge of an expert team of Doctors from Singapore. A thorough examination of his condition will be conducted, along with a micro-study in order to enhance his renal capacity.

Dr. Divya Singh who is accompanying the Prime Minister will continue informing the Nepalese people during his screening and course of his treatment.

KATHMANDU, Aug 22: Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli has left for Singapore on Thursday for further medical treatment.

The prime minister boarded Thai Airways at 1:30 am from Tribhuvan International Airport. He is accompanied by his spouse Radhika Shakya, his personal physician Dr Divya Singh and some security officials, according to a press release issued by Dr Singh.

The 67-years-old prime minister had been to Singapore on August 3 for medical check-up and returned home on August 12 after getting his medical tests done at the National University Hospital.

However, the prime minister was having problem due to a high number of antibodies in his body.”To improve the function of his kidneys by removing the antibodies, the prime minister is heading to Singapore, where he will be treated at the National University Hospital,” the press release reads.

“Oli will be treated by an experts’ team in the same hospital where some Nepali doctors will also participate in the process,” the release further reads.
