KATHMANDU, Oct 29: Minister for Irrigation Sanjay Gautam has assured that the upcoming elections to the House of Representatives and Province Assemblies will be held in the announced date- November 26 and December 7.

Speaking during an interaction program organized by the Reporters’ Club Nepal on Sunday, Minister Gautam said, “The government is committed to hold the twin elections on the scheduled. We should not harbor any doubts about it.”

Commenting on the Supreme Court’s ruling on ballot paper printing, he said, “The SC’s ruling won’t affect poll dates.”

He added, “And, the Election Commission has also expressed its commitment to hold election on the announced dates.”
