Updated, KATHMANDU: President Dr Ram Baran Yadav recently arrived Kathmandu after his treatment in Japan.  President Dr Yadav landed at Tribhuvan International Airport at 12:30 noon.

President Dr Yadav was admitted to the University of Tokyo Hospital in Japan after doctors in Nepal suggested to visit Japan for thorough checkup.

Dr Yadav was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday. Earlier, the hospital has made it clear that President has no cancer and his health condition was normal.

KATHMANDU: President Dr Ram Baran Yadav, who has been admitted to the University of Tokyo Hospital in Japan, has been discharged today.

President Dadav has no cancer and his health condition was normal, the Embassy of Nepal, Tokyo, said in a statement citing  Prof Toshiaki Watanabe, vice-director of the hospital.

The President will be discharged from the hospital on Wednesday as medical test reports show his health is normal,” the statement reads. 

The Embassy of Nepal has also thanked to the Government of Japan, University of Tokyo Hospital, Nepalese community in Japan and the Japanese and Nepalese media for their “courtesies, understanding, invaluable support and constant cooperation”.

The President is expected to arrive home on Friday. Dr Yadav had left for Tokyo on June 17  for medical check up by leading a 10-member delegation including his legal advsior.

KATHMANDU: Doctors attending on President Dr Ram Baran Yadav have confirmed that Dr Yadav has is free from cancer but the doctors have advised further tests.

President Dr Yadav has been admitted to University of Tokyo Hospital on June 18 in Tokyo, the capital city of Japan.

According to Professor Toshiaki Watanabe, who is the Vice-Director of the hospital and supervisor of the select team of specialists of the state-of-art medical institute, reports of all the tests carried out so far have been found normal, says a statement released by the Embassy of Nepal in Tokyo today.

Dr Yadav has been taking normal food as usual and is absolutely fine, it is said.

KATHMANDU: President Dr Ram Baran Yadav, who is in Japan for the medical checkup has been admitted to Tokyo Hospital.

President Yadav will have complete medical checkup in the hospital. President Dr Yadav had left for Japan on Monday for treatment after a scar was detected in his large interstine.

Meanwhile, the Nepali Embassy in Japan issued a press statement saying that President was well and there was no cause to worry about his health condition.

KATHMANDU: Nepal’s President Dr Ram Baran Yadav today left for Tokyo, Japan, for medical checkup.

The President would reach Tokyo via Bangkok in an aircraft of Thai Airways.

Doctors have suspected a cancer in President’s large intestine.

President’s  son Dr Chandra Mohan, daughter Anita,  cardiologist Yadav Dev Bhatta, Chief of Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have accompanied the President.

The government has already stated that the government would bear the total cost of the President’s treatment and stay in Japan.

However, the officials have not revealed the name of hospital to be taken to the President.

Meanwhile, Vice President Paramananda Jha would assume the responsibilities of the President in absence of the President as per the Article 36 of the Interim Constitution of Nepal 2063 B.S, according to a statement issued by the Office of the President.
