KATHMANDU, July 30: Prakash Jwala, leader of the main opposition party CPN-UML has said that his party is in favor of the government’s preparation to conduct the Provincial and Federal election on the same day.

Speaking during an interaction program organized by the Reporters’ Club Nepal on Sunday, Jwala said, “Time is running away. The government should conduct both elections before deadline.”

“Dillydallying and extending the parliament’s term will be a huge mistake,” he added.

He further added that conducting both two elections in a single stage would be more economic as it would save state’s resources and state’s forces would not have to be mobilized time and again for election purpose.

Jwala also urged the leaders of Rastriya Janata Party Nepal (RJPN) to start open discussion concerning their demands rather than bargain with the government for election.

“The government must be serious and should organize a round table discussion in order to create environment for solving problems. Election can’t be a bargaining point,” he added.
