KATHMANDU, Oct 10: Popular actor and central member of Naya Shakti Nepal, Karishma Manandhar is making up her mind to join Pushpa Kamal Dahal-led CPN (Maoist Center). She is likely to formally enter Maoist Center tomorrow or day after tomorrow, according to sources.

Likewise, another popular actor Rekha Thapa is also preparing to join CPN-UML. Oli close sources have confirmed that Thapa recently visited UML Chair Oli and wished her desire to enter UML.

Thapa started her political career from Maoist Center. But later she joined Kamal Thapa-led Rastriya Prajatantra Party. But days after the RPP split, she had announced that she joined Pashupati Shumsher Rana-led faction RPP (Democratic).

Actor Thapa had joined RPP on December 2016. She was elected on RPP central committee with popular votes through the party’s general convention earlier this year.

However, Thapa said that she is still undecided about joining UML. It has also been understood that she has held conversation with Prachanda’s son Prakash Dahal about her possible return to her older party.

Meanwhile, singer Komal Oli has already joined UML. She formally entered the party by taking tika from UML vice chair Bamdev Gautam. Komal was previously in RPP and also was elected on central committee member along with actor Thapa.

KATHMANDU, Aug 8: Popular actor Rekha Thapa has left the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) led by Kamal Thapa to join the Pashupati Shumsher JB Rana-led Rastriya Prajatantra Party Democratic.

Actor Thapa, who is also a central committee member of the RPP, decided to shift the party on Tuesday. Thapa had joined RPP on December 2016. She was elected on RPP central committee with popular votes through the party’s general convention earlier this year.

After the internal dispute between Kamal Thapa faction and faction led by Rana could not resolve, Rana had registered a new party under the name of Rastriya Prajatantra Party Democratic at the Election Commission on Saturday.

KATHMANDU: Nepal’s hottest and most sought after actress Rekha Thapa has said that she has not thought of remarrying, Rekha told a TV interview. However, Rekha said, “I want to be a mother.”

Thapa has separated from her former husband Chhabi Raj Ojha. However, they have not divorced legally yet.

Currently, Rekha is living with her mother. She also said, “I want to live together without wedlock like Komal Oli and Mithila Sharma.”

KATHMANDU: Famous Kallywood actor Rekha Thapa is presenting herself in the role of Kali (black, generally given to Nepali girl if they are pampered) in her new ventured titled ‘Kali’.

The film is being prepared under the banner of Rekha Films that prepared many hit films in the Nepali cinema industry.

Rekha Thapa, also a politician in Nepal, is the producer of the film too. Recently, Nepal’s hottest actress Thapa had joined Nepal’s largest political party UCPN (Maoist).

After getting divorce with Chhabi Raj Ojha, Rekha is starting her own venture.

The first movie of Chhabi Raj production was jointly produced by Rekha Films and Chhabi Raj Films.

KATHMANDU: Nepal’s top actress and one of the top woman leaders of  the CPN (UML) today joined the UCPN (Maoist) at a formal program organized by the UCPN (Maoist) at its headquarters, Koteshwor.

The most sought after actress of the country Rekha Thapa joined the UCPN (Maoist) in front of hundred of Maoist supporters and top leaders of the Maoist including Chairman Pushpa  Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, Dr Baburam Bhattarai and others.

Rekha, who turned nervous during the program, said, “I joined the party to serve the nation. My family members have sacrificed blood for the movement. You will know gradually which class I belong to.” She also she was feeling pride while joining the country’s most revolutionary party.

Similarly, UML leader Urmila Aryal also said that she has not demanded any post while entering into the Maoists. “I joined the UCPN (Maoist) to make it the center of Nepal’s communist forces. I want end of groupism in this party, if there are any,” she said.

Earlier, UML’s most powerful leader from Madhesh Ram Chandra Jha had also joined the UCPN (Maoist).

KATHMANDU: Keeping aside her race to be the first chairwoman of Film Development Board, actress Rekha Thapa has left for the USA on Wednesday evening. Country’s ‘hottest’ heroine of the time will stay in the United States for nearly 40 days.

Rekha is scheduled to attend a number of programs to be organized by the Nepali societies in the USA. Rekha is also scheduled to arrive Malaysia from the United States and return  there before arriving Nepal.
