KATHMANDU: The High-Level Political Committee (HLPC) has decided exhibit maximum flexibility to bring the dissenting parties including the CPN-Maoist and others by holding decisive talks with them within three days.
As per the decision, the top leaders of the major parties would talk to the agitating parties including the CPN-Maoist, Madhesi Janadhikar Forum-Nepal and Federal Socialist Party to bring them on board the CA slated for November 19.
A meeting of the HLPC held at New Baneshwor today also decided to hold talks with the fronts led by Yadav and Rai from tomorrow for the same.
After the meeting, leader of the UCPN (Maoist), Narayankaji Shrestha, said that the meeting has decided to make the ongoing talks decisive by August 16.
Shrestha added that the meeting decided to hold table talks on different issues as the HLPC has forwarded talks without pre-condition although the HLPC has already made its common concept on the demands put forth by the dissenting parties.

A meeting of the HLPC held today decided to sit for talks with the agitating political parties to create a conducive environment for polls, UML leader Raghuji Panta said.
According to Panta, the meeting also decided not to compromise to replace the Khil Raj Regmi-led government.
The leaders of the view that no political force could distrubt the poll as the people have readied themselves for upcoming CA election.

As per the decision, the UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Prachanda, Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala and UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal would woo the CPN-Maoist, Madhesi Janadhikar Forum and Federal Socialist Party among others for bringing them in the election.
Unhappy with poll preparations from the side of Election Commission, the top leaders have also decided to take information from the EC regarding the poll preparations.

After the parties’ failure to take a decision, the HLPC is expected to give responsibility to the government to take a decision to this regard, UML leader Raghuji Panta confirmed.
The government is also expected to conduct the CA election in the previous electoral laws as demanded by the UCPN (Maoist) and Madhes based political parties.
Top leaders of major four political forces were present at the meeting held at the office of the Secretariat of Army Integration Special Committee, New Baneshwor.

KATHMANDU: A meeting of the high-level political committee ended inclusively after the leaders did not budge from their earlier stance on the conflicting issues.
However, the leaders are learnt to have agreed not to keep the threshold of minimum vote to represent in the CA under the proportional seats. Similarly, the size of the CA would not exceed to 491 against the 601 of the erstwhile CA.
Top leaders of all four major political parties including UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala, CPN-UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal and United Democratic Madhesi Front leader, Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar were present at the meeting. The next meeting is scheduled for Friday.
