KATHMANDU: Amid ruroms that the CA election will be postponed to April 2014, the UCPN (Maoist) has said that no such agreement has been made so far to conduct the election in April 2014.

In a regular weekly press meet, UCPN (Maoist) Spokesperson Agni Prasad Sapkota said that the parties have not agreed to hold the election later in April next year.

He said there was no option to holding the CA election in November and warned that the poll would be disturbed if it was deferred.

He reiterated that a round table conference would be organized and the cabinet would be reconstituted to bring the agitating political parties on board the election.

He was of the view that relevance of the government would collapse if the CA election was not held in the slated timeframe.

In a separate context, Sapkota said that party’s all disputed issues would be resolved through the extended meeting scheduled for July 19.

The UCPN (Maoist) spokesperson added that Baburam Bhattarai’s decision to ‘sacrifice’ the post of Vice-chairman was inappropriate.

Spokesman Agni Sapkota while referring to the recent increase of confrontation between opposition and ruling parties over an array of issues, expressed such dismal hopes.

Speaking at a program here, Sapkota ruled out any resolution in the near future owing to the confrontation which he claimed was escalated by the opposition.

He however expressed hope for stability only after the ongoing confrontation between political parties for dominance subsides and after what he called that UCPN Maoist prevailed in the ongoing tug of war between parties.
