KATHMANDU: Communist parties in the country have been marking the establishment day today (April 22) on reaching 65 years of the establishment of the Communist Party in Nepal.

The Communist Party of Nepal was established under the leadership of Pushpalal Shrestha to unite people against Ranarchy and for social transformation.

Shrestha is the first person to translate the Communist Manifesto into the Nepali language.

But, since then Nepal’s communist party has splitted time and again in the name of differences in working style and ideology.

Various parties and party wings of UCPN-Maoist, CPN-UML and CPN-Maoist are organising various programs on the occasion of the founding day.

UML youth leaders Ghan Shyam Bhusal and Yogesh Bhattarai are organising an extensive discussion program at the City Hall in the capital on Marxism and Communism.
