KATHMANDU, May 28: Yoga University of the Americas based on Florida, the United States is set to organize a special function with an aim to promote the Indo-Nepal Yoga.

The program will be organized in Nepal Academy, Kamaladi on May 30, said the organizers during a press meet at Reporters’ Club Nepal on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, the university vice-chancellor Dr. Yogi Devraj said that Minister of Education, Science and Technology Giriraj Mani Pokharel will chief guest the program. The program will also be attended by leaders of various political parties and lawmakers.

Hundreds of participants from the US, India, Malaysia, Cambodia, including Indian spiritual teachers Prof. Arrallu Mallike, Parth Sarthi and Prof, Kaipa Sesadi, have already arrived in the capital to attend the function. Likewise, Yoga teachers, Meditation gurus, Ayurveda and natural medicine practitioners have been invited in the program, according to the organizers.

KATHMANDU, May 16: Yoga University of the Americas is conducting its 2019’ convocation ceremony at the Nepal Academy Hall in Kathmandu on May 30. The ceremony will start at 3 pm NST onward.

Organizing a press meet at the Reporters’ Club Nepal on Thursday, the organizers said dignitaries, vice chancellors, yoga champions, scholars and international celebrities from Malaysia, Cambodia, the US and Nepal will attend the convocation ceremony.

On the occasion, the university will award Ph.D., honorary doctorate (Honoris Causa) M Phil and MS Degree and as well as Live Time Achievement awards and Bharatha Samskruthi Bhushana awards to various achievers at the global level, according to the organizers.

The university, based on Florida of the United States, has been active in creating massive global awareness of health culture through yoga. It is popularizing integrated and holistic yoga system combining Bhakti yoga, Karma yoga, Jnana yoga, Nada yoga, Nrithya yoga, Adhyatma yoga and allied disciplines besides Patanjali ashtanga yoga.

The yoga university has its vice-chancellor and its operations in America, Nepal, India and Malaysia, and it is planning to start its extensive operations in Australia, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, South Africa and England in near future.

The organizers have also appealed the public at large and particularly to all the yoga practitioners health aspirants, youth and student community to witness the global health celebrations.
