Thapa awarded with Ph.D. degree
Kathmandu, March 15: Assistant Professor at the Nepal Commerce Campus, Gopal Thapa, has been awarded with Ph.D. degree on Saturday.
The Dr K N Modi University, Newai (Rajasthan), India conferred the degree of Ph.D. on Thapa. Thapa has defended his Ph.D. thesis entitled, “Impact of Television Advertising on Nepalese Children.”
Thapa had carried out study over the issue at different urban areas in Kathmandu valley for around four years. He had asked people above 16 years about the positive and adverse impacts of advertisement in television on children below 15 years.
Thapa said that from his study he found that the positive impact outweighs the negative impact.
