Priyanka Karki
Priyanka Karki is one of the most beautiful and promising actresses in Nepali film industry. Known as ‘beauty with the brain’ for her talent, she is also a model, VJ, dancer, choreographer, and aspiring singer. Karki was born on February 27, 1987.
The Miss Teen Nepal 2005 winner began her career hosting television shows Celluloid and the Glam Factor as VJ for Kantipur Television. She also anchored Glamour and Style, a fashion based program and Call and Win, a weekly live show on television. She also featured in a comedy sitcom Gar Beti Ba, which helped her gain public recognition.
She debuted her film career by starring as double role Diya/Liza in 3 Lovers (2012). Though the movie was not a big success, she won awards for her performance in the OFA Award for Popular Debutant Actress category. She was also nominated for Best Actress for National Film Awards for her role as Kavya in Kollywood (2013).

She achieved fame as cinema superstar with her leading role in Jholey (2014) opposite Dayahang Rai and Nai Nabannu La 2 (2014) opposite Suraj Singh Thakuri. The latter was a huge commercial success grossing at the box office. She won Online Filmykhabar Award as Best Actress 2017, NETFA award for Best Actor in a supporting role (Female), INFA award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Female) and INFA Most Popular Actor (Female) for her role in Jholay and Nai Na Bhannu La 2.
Karki also launched her singing career as a playback singer in Awarapan (2014). She has also recorded Bachchu Kailash’s classic “Timile Ta Hoina” in her voice. Her debut single song ‘Swatantra’, released on January 1st, 2016, was successful to collect more than 300000 views in the first two weeks. Swatantra has more than 3.7 million views on youtube at present. She also released the cover song ‘Maya Tw Maya Ho’ which has four million views.
Her Suntali (2015) was officially selected to premier at the 19th Busan International Film Festival. She also won NFDC National Film Award Best Actor Female, National Film Critics Award (NFCA) Best Actor Female, NEFTA Awards Best Actor Female (Popular) and LG D Cine Award Best Actor Female Critics for her role Suntali.
Her Nai Na Bhannu La 3 (2015) was the all-time blockbuster hitting Crore Club. The fourth installment Lai Na Bhannu La 4 (2016) was another blockbuster which grossed over 20 million in the released week. Nai Na Bhannu La franchise is the second highest grossing movie after Chhakka Panja franchise.
Karki’s Chakka Panja (2016) was the all-time blockbuster movie while its third installment Chakka Panja 3 (2018) was the all-time record breaker.
Her four movies Anaagat, Prem Diwas, Dal Bhat Tarkari, and Hajar Juni Samma are expected to release in 2019.
Divorced after two years of marriage with Rochak Mainali, Karki is currently engaged with Ayushman Desraj Shrestha Joshi.

Namrata Shrestha
Namrata Shrestha is a model and actress. She is the winner of National Film Awards 2016 under Best Actress category for her role in Classic (2016). She also won Best Actress awards in FAAN Awards, Dcine Award, NFDC Award and LG Film Awards for her role alongside Aryan Sigdel in the romantic movie.
Born on June 14, 1986, Shrestha began her modeling career appearing on the cover of various magazines including Navyaata Magazine, Wave Magazine, VOW Magazine, and others. She has also been featured in NepaliEntertainment portal CyberSansar.com. She was also enlisted in the Top five models of the country in The Kathmandu Post.
Shrestha began her career in the Nepali film industry debut in the romantic comedy Sano Sansar (2008). A year later, she starred in Mero Euta Saathi Cha (2009), which was a big hit collecting approximately 2.15 crore in Nepal and overseas.
Her November Rain (2016) cast alongside Aaryan Sigdel was a big blockbuster grossing over 2 crores. She recently appeared in Prasad.
Shrestha is working in Xira currently.
She also appeared in theatre Jalpari (2009), Oleanna (2011), Yerma (2014) and Golden Boy (2017).
She was caught up in a big sex scandal when her sex video with DJ Tantrik was leaked in 2009. The video was said to have leaked by Tantrik’s wife.

Swastima Khadka
Swastima Khadka is one of the most popular actresses and music video model in Nepal. She debuted in film career from the box office hit college drama film Hostel Returns (2015). The movie got an aggressive reception beating Bollyhood film All is Well in occupancy grossing over 1 crore in opening two days.
After acting in Love Love Love (2017) and Prem Geet 2 (2017), the top five finalists of Miss Teen 2013’s Chhakka Panja 2(2017) became an industrial hit becoming the second highest grossing movie after its prequel Chhakka Panja (2016).
She also appeared in song Kutu Ma Kutu in Nepali film Dui Rupaiya (2017). The song became the first Nepali YouTube video to reach 84 million views, with successfully managing over 10 million views in just 49 days. Kutu Ma Kutu has 94 million views at current. Khadka starred as lead actress in the role Nisha in super hit film Jay Bhole (2018) and Nai Nabhannu La 5 (2018). She has played the role of a tempo driver as Ranakala in Bulbul (2019).
Before coming to the film industry, she started her modeling career in her first music video Baby Kuchi Kuchi. She has also played in the music videos Khulduli, Sahara, Angalo ma badhana na, Timro saathma, Todiyo Todiyo, and Nacha Firiri.
Khadka is currently married to director Nischal Basnet and is popularly known as “Rashtriya Bhauju” among Nepali youths.

Samragyee R L Shah
Samragyee Rajya Laxmi Shah is the leading contemporary actress in Nepali film industry. A royal descent of King Prithivi Narayan Shah, the 23-year-old is also the highest paid actress. It is rumored that Shah receives an amount of Rs 16 million salaries per movie. Shah was born on 18th November 1995.

Her modeling career began to peak when she was adjudged the second runner-up at the Face of Classic Diamond Jewelers Fashion competition. She first appeared in music video Dami by Fuba Tamang in 2014.
She became a public figure after her lead role in the movie Dreams opposite Anmol KC became a huge success at box office. She received a number of awards for her role in the movie. She won in Best New Actress category at FANN Awards, 8th Dcine Awards 2016, NFDC Award 2016, Kamana Film Awards and Best Actress at LG Film Awards 2016.
Her second movie A Mero Hajur 2, released in 2017, became another blockbuster of Nepali cinema, which was followed by Timi Sanga (2018, April), Kaira opposite Aaryan Sigdel (semi-hit, 2018, August) and 2018 blockbuster Intu Mintu London Ma opposite vlogger and model Dhiraj Magar.
He has been nominated in Most Popular Actress Female category for the Surya Film Awards 2018. She also appeared on the cover of the magazine M&S in July 2015.
Shah is currently working in the movie Maruni.
Reecha Sharma
Reecha Sharma is an actress, model, VJ, and producer. She was one of the top ten finalists of Miss Nepal 2007. She was born on July 16, 1985.
She debuted in the Nepali film industry starring in lead role in First Love (2010). She also acted in Mero Love (2011) and Highway (2011), but she came to limelight after she much appreciated movie Loot (2012) became a blockbuster grossing over 5 crores.
She then acted in Visa Girl (2012) and next in Talakjung vs Tulke (2014) as Fuli which was critically acclaimed and was selected as the Nepalese entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 88th Academy Awards.
She also appeared on the cover of M&S in August 2015.
She also appeared in horror movie Sunkeshari (2018) and Kohalpur Express (2018).
