UML is ready for CA elections in May

BUTWAL: CPN (UML) Vice-chairman Bamdev Gautam has said the UML was ready to opt for CA elections if it were held in May based on political consensus.

“But, the election government under incumbent Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai, the UCPN (Maoist), and the United Democratic Madhesi Front is not acceptable,” said the UML leader.

He also said that the current government and coalition parties have pushed the nation to the current political crisis. Gautam was speaking at a news conference in Butwal

UML leader Gautam said the Nepali Congress had declared NC President Sushil Koirala as a candidate for Prime Minister as the UCPN-Maoist urged for the same but the Maoist leaders created obstruction later when other parties forged consensus for NC leader Koirala.
