Who are fake ATM cards users?



KATHMANDU: Police have made public three persons arrested on the charge of involvement in drawing money from ATM lounges in Nepal and India by using fake ATM cards.

The Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police said that Suresh Singh Bista, 18, Mohan Singh Bista, 23, and Chandra Singh Bista, 26, of Haldani Post Office, Lalkuwa, of Nainital district of India are the fake ATM cards users to withdraw money in India and Nepal too.

Indian national Suraj Gurung aka Sanju claiming himself a resident of Kathmandu is at large.

Police also impounded 28 pieces of fake debit cards, an ATM card of National Punjab National Bank, car bearing Indian number plate (UK 04 LO 351), Rs 66,600 and 9,970 Indian currencies from the accused.

The alleged were held on March 24 from Bhim Dutta Municipality-4 in Kanchanpur district and brought to capital.

The alleged withdrew Rs 122,000 of the Nepal Investment Bank from ATM lounges of NABIL Bank, Siddhartha Bank and Sunrise Bank with the fake ATM cadres, according to the central police newsroom.
