Nepal’s Army Chief heads for Australia

KATHMANDU: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gaurav Shumsher JBR held discussion with the Chief of Army Staff of the various countries in south Asia and Asia Pacific region at the sidelines of the 15th Annual Chiefs of Defense (CHOD) Conference that kicked off in Sydney of Australia on Monday.

The Pacific Regional Command of the US Army and Australian Defense Force are the organizers of the conference.

According to the Nepal Army Public Relations Directorate, CoAS JBR held discussions with Malaysia’s Army Chief General Tan Sri Dato Sri Zullkifeli Bin Mohd Zin.

On the occasion, CoAS JBR extended invitation to the Malaysian Defense Force to send a platoon to attend the Capstone Exercise 2013 to be held in Nepal in the near future.

Similarly, Brigadier General Suresh Sharma has been assigned the NA’s spokesperson from today, according to the NA Public Relations Directorate.

Earlier, Ramindra Chhetri was the NA’s spokesperson. RSS
