NC sister wings turn heat on streets against BRB government
KATHMANDU: Various organizations assocaited to the Nepali Congress have staged demonstration on Thursday, demanding the guarantee of rule of law and citizen’s right to life with dignity.
The protest rally jointly taken out by NC sister wings – Nepal Women Association, Nepal Tarun Dal and Nepal Students’ Union – began from Peace Park in Kathmandu and converged into a corner meet at Indra Chowk after going round various parts of the capital.
Participants of the rally were holding placards reading ‘take action against the murderers of Dailekh-based journalist Dekendra Raj Thapa, book the perpetrators of voilence against women, investigate and prosecute the criminals involved in the murder of Tarun Dal member in Sindhuli Prison and NC Rukum, Duli VDC President Kabiraj Khatry and provide compensation to the grief-stricken families’.
Addressing the gathering after the demonstration, NC leader Tirtha Ram Dangol said the country’s current crisis would end only after the exit of incumbent government, which has failed to ensure law and order and security of citizens.
Also speaking on the occasion were NC, Kathmandu District President Bhimsen Das Pradhan and NWA President Dr Dila Sangraula.
