SCL examinations kicks off



KATHMANDU: This year’s School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examination has started from today across the country. The exam has begun from 8:00 this morning. The students are taking the exam of compulsory English.

A total of 547,165 examinees have been participating this year across the country. Of them, 430, 097 in regular and 117, 068 in exempted categories. The examinations are being held in 1786 centers.

Kathmandu has the highest number of 86 exam centers and the least in Manang and Mustang one each.

Earlier yesterday, Deputy Controller of the Office of the Controller of Examinations, Sanothimi, Prahlad Aryal had said that the office has concludde all preparations for the examination.

The office has also arranged for keeping facilitators by hearing impaired examinees for half an hour.

Moreover, the selection of these people will be by the superintendent. Likewise, blind students can keep facilitators who are studying in class eight instead of the earlier provision of having passed class eight
