Nepal’s Chief Justice sworn in as Prime Minister

KATHMANDU: Nepal’s sitting Chief Justice Khil Raj Regmi has been sworn in as the new Prime Minister today.

President Dr Ram Baran Yadav administered oath of office and secrecy to Regmi as the Chairman of the Interim Election Council today at the Office of the President amid a special function.

Likewise, Chairman of the Interim Election Council sworn in Madhav Prasad Ghimire as Minister for Home Affairs and Hari Prasad Neupane as the Minister for Law and Justice.

On the occasion, top leaders of the major political parties, chiefs of security bodies and heads of diplomatic missions in Nepal were present.
