Laborers vandalize Ncell office against their termination
KATHMANDU: Laborers affiliated to Nepal’s hardliner political party today vandalized the central office of the Ncell—Nepal’s one of the leading mobile phone service provider—citing they were fired from the job.
Coordinator of All Nepal Revolutionary Communication, Printing and Publications Janma Dev Jaisi said that the police personnel used force while the laborers were staging a peaceful demonstration seeking their reinstatement.
The laborers vandalized the Krishna Tower-based Ncell central office in New Baneshwor in the capital. The irate laborers have targeted the office computers, window panes and a van also.
The laborers have been staging protests under the banners of the Federation of All Nepal Trade Union and All Nepal Revolutionary Communication, Printing and Publications affiliated to the CPN-Maoist.
A total of 87 workers of the Hello Nepal, a holding company of Ncell, complained that they were not given job by the management of the Ncell though Ncell undertook some 80 per cent shares of the Hello Nepal.
