UML chieftain Khanal hopes to win people’s heart from polls

CPN UML Chairman Jhalnath Khanal

KATHMANDU: Despite a large section of party leaders are quitting the CPN (UML) alleging it of not abiding by its own agreements on federalism and progressive agendas, the CPN (UML) Chairman claimed that his party would secure first position in the upcoming Constituent Assembly (CA) polls.

“UML will stand the first in the upcoming CA polls as it has guts to fight against ultra-communist and radical rightist forces,” Khanal said while inaugurating the second national convention of the University Employees’ Association.

“Constitution was not drafted from the erstwhile CA due to Maoists’ more seats. This time too same fate could repeat if the Maoists won more seats. So, UML should win more seats to ensure right constitution,” Khanal argued.
