Nepal’s top Maoist leader leaving for China for a weeklong trip

KATHMANDU: UCPN (Maoist) spokesperson Agni Prasad Sapkota has said that party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda’s China trip to begin from tomorrow would focus on economic development.

At a weekly meet the press organised at the party headquarters today, Sapkota said Prachanda’s weeklong China visit would help cement Nepal-China-India relations, especially in terms of economic agenda.

The former prime minister and Nepal’s tallest political figure is scheduled to meet with Chinese President, Chinese Premier and other top leaders of the Communist Party of China.

On a separate context, Sapkota said major political parties should hold fresh the fresh CA elections by June.
He also slammed the current government of being concentrated on the daily activities rather than announcing election date.
