NPC Vice chairperson calls it quit

KATHMANDU: Vice-chairperson of National Planning Commission (NPC) Deependra Bahadur Kshetry and three other members of the NPC have resigned from the posts today.

Earlier, at a meeting of the High Level Political Committee held on Sunday had decided to vacate the political appointments made by the erstwhile government.

NPC members Janak Raj Shah, Dr Shiva Kumar Rai and Dr. Abdur Rahim Mikrani also resigned from the post.

Dr Kshetry was appointed Vice-chairperson of the NPC by the Baburam Bhattarai-led government.

Kshetry is the former governor of the Nepal Rastra Bank.
