Dissenting parties’ participation in polls equally important, UML leader Nepal
BIRATNAGAR: Senior leader of the CPN-UML and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that the incumbent government should create an environment for the agitating 33 political parties to participate in the next Constituent Assembly (CA) elections.
Talking briefly to media persons at Biratnagar Airport, Nepal pointed out the need for the government and political parties to seriously engage in bringing all the political parties to the CA election as it is for institutional development of democracy.
Expressing the belief that date of the CA election would be declared soon as the Election Commission has started party registration process, he clarified that boycotting the election is against democracy.
The former Prime Minister said that the date of CA election would be declared soon to hold the election by third week of November as the incumbent government and EC are preparing to hold the election.
Nepal who is in Biratnagar today to address the Workers´ Assembly to be organised by General Federation of Nepalese Trade Unions (GEFONT), Koshi Zonal Committee.
