Regmi, Prachanda discuss CA elections

KATHMANDU: Chairman of the Interim Election Council of Ministers Khil Raj Regmi and UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ held discussions regarding the upcoming Constituent Assembly (CA) elections this morning.

The leaders discussed about the CA date announcement, polls related ordinance, total seats under the proportional electoral system in the CA including others, said Regmi’s press coordinator Rajendra Prasad Pandey.

During the meeting, the UCPN (Maoist) Chairman urged Regmi to immediately announce the polls date as that would create environment for polls.

On Tuesday, Regmi had discussed with the leaders of the CPN (UML), Madhesi Morcha and other fringe parties as well.

UCPN (Maoist) Chairman was flanked by Vice-chairmen Dr Baburam Bhattarai and Narayan Kaji Shrestha.
