RAJBIRAJ: Chairman of the Terai Madhes Loktantrik Party Mahantha Thakur has said the those convicted of criminal cases also should get chance to contest the CA polls.

“If they were barred from contesting the CA polls would be breaching of the comprehensive peace accord,” he said at a program in Rijbiraj today.

Thakur further said that there should not be a provision of threshold of vote for ensuring the representation of fringe political parties, indigenous nationalities, women, and all people in the CA elections.

He also said that the CA elections should be conducted in the same provision that took place earlier.
