KATHMANDU: Vice-chairman of CPN-Maoist CP Gajurel has said that his party would hold talks with Chief of Army Staffs Gaurav Shumsher JBR to stop the country going towards conflict if the major four political parties decided to go for election forcefully.

At a program organized by Reporters Club here today, he claimed, “Plans are made to mobilize army for CA poll.”

“We will talk to Army Chief whether or not to push the country to conflict,” he added.

He also said that election is a political program and it cannot be conducted by opening fire.

Club’s Chairman Rishi Dhamala presided over the program.

Gajurel further said that it depends of four parties and government whether to invite another conflict in the country.

“We will boycott election by mobilizing people if elections were held forcefully. We will appeal officials not to support in election process and leaders not to give their candidacies,” Gajurel added.

The CPN-Maoist Vice-chairman also said that party’s central committee meeting to be held in Lumle of Kaski would unveil programs to actively boycott the election.
