Prachanda woos Ashok Rai to participate in November 19 CA poll

KATHMANDU: UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has invited Chairman of Federal Socialist Party Ashok Rai to join the election process.

At a meeting in Prachanda’s residence, Lazimpat, the leaders even shared their ideas on even forging alliance in the upcoming Constituent Assembly (CA) election.

It is said that the UCPN (Maoist) Chairman assured some seats to the party if Rai’s party decides for joining the second CA election scheduled for November 19.

In response, Rai said his party has no problem to join the election, but argued for increasing proportional and inclusive representation in the new CA.

Leader Dahal who is also the coordinator of High-Level Political Committee said the election was the best way to resolve the political and constitutional crisis in the country and urged Rai to participate in the election.
